Description

Help victims of cyberattack to better understand what happened to them, by sharing cognitive hygiene rules for better protection.

Redirect victims to dedicated support platforms or organisations.

Objectives

1 – Help victims react after a cyber attack.

2 – Refer victims to the appropriate legal and psychological resources.

Course of action

  1. 1

    Determine the victim's needs: does he or she need psychological support? assistance in carrying out legal procedures?

  2. 2

    Read about the available resources and identify those that could be useful to the victim.

  3. 3

    If you like, get trained in cybervictim assistance by an accredited organisation.

  4. 4

    Talk to the cybervictim.

  5. 5

    Refer the cyber victim to an organisation that can help him or her.

  6. 6

    If you like, get involved with an awareness-raising association to take part in prevention actions.
